My Struggling Poinsettia
You see when you look at it, it is not doing so well.
I was given this plant in 2013 and it was a huge, blooming plant. So beautiful. I don't usually have a lot of success with keeping poinsettias alive. In fact by March they are usually out in the compost pile.
So I was so pleased when this one seemed to thrive. I eventually placed it in the yard in a shady spot in its pot and apart from one stem failing, it was fine. It did start producing flowers in the 2nd mid summer, - Christmas in July!It was very verdant with lovely green leaves so I thought it was doing good.
During 2015 it did reasonably well but even with me bringing it inside, no red or white flowers came by Christmas and it
really is looking poorly. It has just started to change some color but noe look like a whole flower. Just odd leaves
I read that one remedy is to repot the plant or as soon as the Spring comes, to plant it outside.Well it was very Spring like today but next week it will be cold and frost again.
I think it will have to wait a bit longer to feel the fresh air !!
