All about Books. - The Novel.

I have designated this week as "BOOK' week on my blog. So if you like reading and books, check out my blog.

One of the interesting things about reading novels is the way you can be transported to a different place and time .It's a way of travelling through time and space without leaving your comfortable armchair.

This is a saga of an Iranian Jewish family and their life from the time of the revolution, when the family is expelled and flee for their lives to America.
It continues with the immigration of the remains of the family to Los Angeles and the way their life changes. They work hard to regain their fortune while dealing with the new and different way of life in America.

It is full of interesting characters and details of the old Iranian way of life and customs and the way they have to adapt and adjust to life in America.

There is also a compelling story through the book. where in each generation, the family, the Soleymans, are constantly under pressure from  within the family, where a younger relative claims to be the rightful heir to their fortune, the family name  and also head of the family.

A most interesting book with great detail and a story which is constantly changing
