Storm Rising by Douglas Schofield
Storm Rising by Douglas Schofield
This is a modern, mystery fiction novel involving the young widow of a murdered policeman, her autistic son, the involvement of the Mafia, crooked policemen, and unwanted and unwarranted media coverage.
It is set in Florida and Baltimore and as it nears completion, a severe hurricane complicates the solving of the mystery. Add to this the child develops physic memories of the murder and you have a page-turner!.
The story takes a while to get moving but once it does, it holds your interest and shows the ability of the young mother's determination to find out what really happened to her husband.
It has a cleverly written, fairly complicated plot line.
