So what are nandinas? A beautiful garden shrub that grows in our area.
Can you eat them? NO.but Birds like them.
After a few years, a nandina shrub will grow sufficiently to put out lovely red berries starting in November and they will be bright red all through the Spring. Just lovely in the dull gloomy days of Winter.Ours are at least 10years old and every year the berries cheer us up.
