On the road again...
The topic for the January painting challenge for was "On the Road"
I sat and thought about it and sketched all kinds of ideas and the days passed really quickly. Have you noticed that? Januarys always seem to just whiz by and you are into February so quickly...
I was almost out of time so I thought of a topic finally and made a pastel painting with soft pastels, It's usually fairly quick to do. It is a very dusty medium and the colors never look good to me.I really didn't like the result.
What was to be done? I had very little time left.
So out came my acrylic paints and I painted over the pastels. It took a little longer and isn't great but at least I had a painting to add to the challenge.
The painting is a painting of the old 1965 Jag that Mike, Trev and grandson Mike are bringing back to life again after being stored for a very long time.
This was a picture of it arriving at my house "on the road again'.

The Jag has now had it's engine overhauled , cleaned out and the car ran on down our driveway today.
