Challenge Painting- RUBY

This was a challenge for the facebook page Monthly Painters Challenge.
The topic picked by last month's winning artist was Ruby and all artists painted  what they thought the topic should be.
This month there were many great paintings .
I painted a stylized version of a ruby red rose, keeping it very simple in order to concentrate on the bright color.
