The house w grew up In by Lisa

This book is set in a charming village in the Cotswolds in England.   A lovely family  Mum , Dad and 4 children live there and when the book opens seem to be having a happy  life.
The children, Meg, Beth and the younger twin boys, Rory and Rhys have an idyllic childhood with a mother who makes life interesting and fun and a father that joins into the fun and cares about them. The mother, Lorelei is artistic and somewhat eccentric, she likes to collect memories so will collect and display every piece of artwork her children make. She finds pleasure in the simplest things in the house and garden. Easter is always special and  the egg-hunt the major activity.
Time goes by and a tragedy occurs which will change the family and all their lives in various ways.
Throughout the years  Lorelei alone stays  the same, continuing to collect memories and  eventually making the house a place the adult children and her husband don't want to be or even visit.
This is an interesting book with well developed characters that are very believable.
It also touches on many modern day problems and how  disfunction in the family can occur and change lives.

It is very readable and I really enjoyed it.
