Trip To Port Hope. Canada Trp 2017

Russ, our son who lives in Ontario, CA drove us to see Port Hope that is situated on the North side of Lake Ontario.We had never been there before so we spent a pleasant morning checking out the lovely little town before taking a short drive to see the shore of Lake Erie.

We stopped by a lovely pebble beach with very few people around. The water was fairly cold but the lake beautiful and fairly calm. I expect it gets crowded in the summer.
On the way back we stopped off at Port Perry, one of our favorites spots and visited the garden of inspiration a lovely small garden right in the middle of the town, so pleasant to see.

Port Perry is on another small lake called Lake  Scugog. Always a pleasant spot to visit with an interesting shoreline, a nice shopping area and lots of restaurants.
